The other day David Michael Schmidt (of Renaissance Floral) asked me to film his exhibit at the New York State Museum. When I arrived everything was covered and seemed that a lot of work by David and crew had yet to be done. After a short period of time David transformed the entire area into a powerful visual sight that was truly amazing to witness (though I was rather apprehensive tip-toeing around his creation with a legitimate fear of breaking expensive things) I captured some great shots that give you a glimpse into what a truly talented and creative mind can accomplish.
But what is New York in Bloom?
“…a fund-raiser for the Museum’s nationally recognized after-school program, New York in Bloom features unique arrangements designed by floral designers, garden club members and flower enthusiasts. It also offers a variety of demonstrations and family fun.”
As a side note, your admission cost to New York In Bloom directly benefit the Museum Club and Discovery Squad After-School Programs at the State Museum. So enjoy yourself and feel great that you’re contributing to a great cause in helping kids learn!
The exhibits will be open all weekend from Friday, February 22 to Sunday, February 24; 9:30AM to 5:00PM.
