Cali and Drew – Fasig Tipton – Same Day Edit

About This Project

When I first heard that Fasig-Tipton in Saratoga Springs held weddings at their location, I had to pause for a moment because I’d recalled Fasig-Tipton as being the place where the uber-elite went to buy horses. In fact, as a young lad in Saratoga I would go to the horse sales as nothing more than a poor local boy, pressing my face against the glass to watch the wealthy raise their paddles in favor of the horses they were most interested in buying. This was long ago and it appears that Fasig-Tipton does indeed hold weddings at their location now. And they’re pretty friggin’ fabulous!

Enter Cali and Drew; a really sweet couple with roots in Saratoga with dreams of getting married there because of their ties and connections to this beautiful and historic grand old town. But these guys didn’t want just any wedding, they wanted it to be big and special – which included getting a fancy NUVUE Cinema Same-Day-Edit!
We spent some time with Cali and Drew a few days prior to their wedding day to get to know them and to be a part of their process of getting ready for the big day. We’re so thankful we did, because it allowed us to really connect with them on a much deeper level, as well as allowing us to capture some great footage that we could include in their Same Day Edit.
With us was the fabulous Tracey Buyce of Tracey Buyce Photography, the ever energetic and full of swagger Garland Nelson of Soul Session, the lovely, talented and incredibly organized Christine Wheat of Christine Wheat Events, and Mazzone Hospitality, who’s reputation for catering events is second to none.
This was one of those nights that just felt like it ended way too soon. We were having such a great time that we lost track of it — but lo and behold, when it was time to show the Same Day Edit everyone absolutely loved it. As I looked around the gathering of wedding guests watching the film, I could see the look of disbelief as they were seeing things on the screen that they’d just seen moments prior in real time. .. and seeing this look on their faces never gets old. Ever.
